Week 6 - Doctor experience and Frankfurt Temple

Yesterday we went to the doctor to get a TB test.  It was a scavenger hunt to get there.  We went to five different places before we finally got the right place.  Dad went into the doctors office and the rest of us waited in the waiting room.  Then a doctor came out and called for mom.  When mom came back she told us that she got an x-ray.  They took her into a tiny room and told her to take everything off waist up.  She was a little nervous to do that because she didn't know if it was part of the TB test.   She thought could there have been another person named Kimberlee?  But she did what the doctor said and they took her x-ray.  After telling me this, the same doctor called me.  I was terrified.  I did not want to take everything off waist up.  I will just say that it was very awkward!

Then dad came back and called for Ashton.  They went into the room and we heard Ashton screaming at the top of his lungs!  He just kept screaming and screaming.  We were terrified, we thought we were going to get a lot of shots.  Mom finally got up and went to see what was going on.   When she walked in the doctor said, "I haven't even touched him yet!"  We felt so bad for the doctor, she was terrified because Ashton was screaming really loud.   It turns out Ashton was just really scared.  He kept screaming, and it took mom and dad to hold him down.  When it was done, he came out smiling and he said, "That didn't even hurt at all!"

Today we were able to drive to the Frankfurt Temple and do baptisms for the dead.  Dad dropped us off at the church at 7:45.  We got put into different cars.  Jacob got to ride in a Porsche, and they went 290 kph which is 180 miles per hour!  The drive was about 3 hours.

They do things very different at the Frankfurt temple.  We all had to sit in a room and they called us up one by one and gave us our jumpsuits.  That took a while.  After we were done changing we went into the baptismal room.  They talked to us for a while. But it took longer than usual because they had to translate from German to French then to English.  Then they called us one by one to get the confirmations and then baptisms.  Grandma and Grandpa sent us family names so we were able to do those.  Each person did about 10-15 names.  After everybody was done we waited for the rest of the girls to finish their hair and make-up.  The boys were growing a little impatient.  We took some pictures afterwards.  We saw an older couple that were missionaries, so we asked them if they knew Grandma and Grandpa Saunders.  They recognized the name and they are looking forward to meeting them in July.

We drove for 2 hours then finally stopped for lunch at Burger King at 4:00.  We were starving!  We got home around 6.  We were gone all day, but it was really fun to get to know the youth of our ward a little better!
