Week 23 - COSL Spillfest

Last Thursday, my mom took all of us kids to the COSL Spillfest which is a sports festival.  They gave us a card that had about 10 boxes that we had to get stamped, before we could get our free t-shirts. We walked around to the different sport booths and got a stamp for every sport we did.

As we were walking to the different booths, Ashton was running and tripped and landed on his knees. Perfect way to start the event.  We found the first aid tent and they put some band aids on him.
The first thing went to was the bow and arrow booth.  Spencer hit bull's eye the the first time!  The instructors were impressed.  I guess he got really good at his Scout Camps.

After that we walked down and stopped at many booths.  They had chess, karate, table tennis, trampolines, football, baseball, and much more.  It was fun to just play.

For lunch we had to get into two different lines.  I stayed in the food line, and my mom stayed in the ticket line.  She had to buy the food and they gave her a ticket.  Then she met up with me in the food line, and gave the tickets to the food people, and they gave us our food.  We got bratwurts, fries, and waffles.

After lunch we went canoeing.  The boys shared a canoe, and I got my own kayak.  We saw these two boys that got a lot of water in their kayak, so one end of the kayak was underwater. One of the boys was in water from his neck down.  It was pretty funny. I got soaked because I had a big opening by my legs.  Every time my paddles would come out of the water, the water would drip down onto my lap.  I was soaked!

After canoeing I was done because I was soaked.  Right before we left we got our free t-shirts.  I was excited because now I can add that to my t-shirt quilt.  It was a fun day, and the best part was that is was FREE!  All we had to pay for was the food.
