After working on French, Jacob wanted to find a geocache. So Jacob, Emilee, and Ashton went to find geocaches. They walked about 1 mile from the house. They were brave and went right into the middle of the city. They found a fun park for Ashton to play at. It is shaped like a pirate ship, and Ashton loved it. Then they walked some more and found a geocache. It was called the Coin Exchange. They brought some pennies and quarters to exchange. Ashton got some Euros. It started to rain, and Ashton didn't want to look for more. So they headed back. Ashton did great on walking but he was VERY slow. Emilee carried him on her back for about 10 minutes, then Ashton was able to walk again. The kids loved walking around in the city.
Unfortunately the apartment that we wanted was not available. We don't know what to do. We need to find an apartment soon.
We had the missionaries over tonight. There were 3 missionaries that came over. We had potato soup for dinner with yummy bread. It was very fun talking to them. It was the first time we had dinner with missionaries. They challenged us to learn how to give our testimony in French, then give it next testimony meeting. We accepted the challenge, so we will be working hard to learn how give our testimony in French.

Disappointing about the apartment. Back to the drawing board. The ups and downs of European life.
ReplyDeleteBut look on the bright side, they have 2 ft long Twix bars
