Today Dad went to work in the office for the first time. Everyone else slept in until 11:00. Yesterday we bought ingredients to make pancake mix because you can't buy pancake mix here. They also don't make syrup here. We made pancakes for breakfast. We put nutella and jam on them, delicious!
After breakfast Mom wanted to explore and see where our school is. Spencer didn't want to come, he wanted to sleep. So the kids and mom went exploring. We walked to the kids school. It isn't very far! After that we went to the bakery to eat chocolate croissants. They were delicious! We saw a yummy pastry with raspberries and powdered sugar. We didn't have enough money to buy it, but we will definitely be coming back. Dad tried it at work, and he said it was the best thing he ever tasted! We love exploring and looking at the pretty scenery!
Mom went to the consignment store with Kelli Gilstrap today. She found a table and a couch she loved, and wants to go back and get it.
Right now Ashton really wants a pet. He is missing his friends a lot, and wants a pet to make up for a friend. We went to a pet store the first day and found a tiny turtle that he wants. He really wanted to get them. Dad convinced him to keep looking incase we find something better. Today he kept asking and asking. When dad got home Ashton begged him to go to the pet store. So Dad, Emilee, and Ashton headed to another pet store. Unfortunately it was closed because of the new year holiday. Ashton isn't really liking that they take their holidays very seriously! He was very sad! Dad wanted to surprise him and decided to take him back to the first pet store and get the turtles. We parked and Ashton asked, "Where are we going?" Dad told him we need to pick up some food. When we got to the pet store it was closed. Boy was Ashton very disappointed! Of course more tears came. We promised him we will go to the pet store and buy him the turtle as soon as possible. Below is the picture of the turtle we hopefully get.
I loved reading your posts tonight. It looks like your having a fun adventure already!! It sounds like you have a good attitude, and are going to learn and have so many cool new experiences!!
